A CHUCK E. CHUNKY MILSHAKE:
Everyone loves a good old-fashioned milkshake…but you’re not old-fashioned, so let’s kick it up a notch! Take a few scoops of your kids’ favorite ice cream and just add milk. But don’t let the fun stop there. Bring on the whipped cream, cookies, sprinkles, and any other tasty topping that satisfies their sweet tooth. You can even use food coloring to give your milkshake some swag this summer! If you do it right, there should be nothing but empty glasses and full tummies all around.
DIPPIN DOTS: “TASTE THE FUN”:Dippin’ Dots is on of those cool kid desserts you wish you had growing up. They may look like candy, but don’t let these tiny beads fool you—They’re really ice cream! You can even toss ‘em up in the air and see how many you and the kids can catch in your mouth… Just make sure you put down plenty of napkins first!
GO BANANAS FOR BANANAS:
Put a “cool” twist on a classic treat with a banana split. Don’t stick to the same old vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, especially when there are so many cool, new flavors out there. This isn’t grandma’s banana split, so get creative! How good does a Rocky Road, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Brownie Fudge banana split sound instead?! I think we all know the answer.
SUMMER SNOW? WE THINK SO!It may be summer, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the snow. Making snow cones with your family is a sweet, inexpensive way to beat the heat. Use your kid’s favorite powdered drink mixes to create syrups, drizzle them on top, and create unique designs. This treat will have your kids screaming, “Let it snow!”
*Mittens and snowsuits not required
When life gives you lemons make some frozen lemonade. It’s simple. All you need is water, sugar, ice cubes, and some fresh squeezed lemon juice. Then you put it in a blender and shake, shake, shake! You could even add in some fresh strawberries, blueberries, or any other of your kid’s favorite fruits. This slushy treat will cool you and the kids down and pucker everyone up at the same time!
